The INNOCHEM sector program aims to improve the competitive position on the world markets of the Polish chemical sector by strengthening the ability to generate innovative solutions in collaboration with the scientific sector in the perspective of 2023.
In June 2016 the INNOCHEM National Center for Research and Development awarded a consortium consisting of PHT and Synthos S.A. subsidy of PLN 3,741 million (total cost of the project PLN 6,646 million) for the project “A new generation of photo-initiators for photopolymerization processes dedicated to the coating industry and adhesives.”
The project will carry out industrial research and development. Industrial research will consist of four stages and will conclude with the knowledge of the application properties of developed systems dedicated to photoinitiator systems. Development work will be carried out in one phase, which will involve the transfer of developed technology from the laboratory scale to the semi-technical scale.
The aim of the project is to develop and synthesize a new generation of photoinitiators that absorb visible light, as well as to identify their market potential, and in full perspective to commercialization using the structures and resources of Synthos S.A.
